Entry Level Skilled Laborer
Description:
Assist skilled laborers in their tasks as required
Perform physical labor such as lifting, moving, or disposing of materials
Operate hand and power tools of various types
Assist with site preparation, cleanup, and setup for various tasks
Follow all safety guidelines and procedures
Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment
Perform basic maintenance of work tools and equipment
Participate in training and safety programs to improve skills and knowledge
Identify potential hazards or safety concerns and report to supervisors
Work in various weather conditions and environments
Perform a variety of tasks involving strenuous manual labor
Maintain a clean job site: pick up all tools and equipment and secure job site each day to eliminate potential hazards
Load and unload trucks and haul and hoist materials
Ensure that proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed
Assist in the building or construction of various things
Handle and transport materials and equipment
Follow instructions from supervisors to perform manual labor tasks
Report issues with equipment or unsafe conditions
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
Previous experience in a similar role is preferred
Ability to do physical labor and other strenuous physical tasks
Ability to work in all weather conditions
Workers must be punctual and reliable
Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions
Valid drivers license may be required
