Entry Level Pre-Litigation Legal Assistant for Personal Injury Law Firm

• *The Job**

This position has a few different primary responsibilities. Roughly 60% of your time will be spent ordering and following up with medical records requests for our clients or checking the status of medical account balances. 10% of your time will be sending letters of representation and other letters to interested parties. 20% of your time will be spent assisting our pre-litigation paralegals with whatever they need. And the other 10 %of your time will be tracking down other documents and items needed for us to best represent our clients.

Over time, we hope both of these hires will grow with the firm. As we expand, there is an opportunity for this position to evolve into a paralegal position, which would come with more compensation and responsibility. Generally, if you perform well, you can expect to be promoted to paralegal within 1-2 years. As with all of our hires, we hope our new hire will stay with the company for life.

The pay for this position is $50,000 plus up to a $2,000 KPI bonus based on performance. The potential bonus is the first year is pro-rated based on start date.

The position includes health insurance through Kaiser with a low deductible and 100% of premiums paid by the Firm, we also offer vision and dental insurance with 100% of premiums paid by the Firm, a 401k plan with a 4% matching contribution from the firm, 12 weeks maternity/paternity leave with full pay and an optional addition 4 weeks with 50% pay, firm paid life insurance and long term disability insurance, firm wellness reimbursement, unlimited paid vacation, and unlimited sick days.

Associate degree or 2 years of office experience

This job is in person at our office in RiNO for at least the first 6 months. After that, work from home either full or part time is usually authorized if you are on top of your workload.
