Entry Level Legal Billing Specialist
Job Overview
The entry level Legal Billing Specialist will be responsible for data entry, review & correction of Legal Invoices, assist with Retentions, as well as all additional billing department tasks. This is a full time on site job, work-from-home is not available. This is not a paralegal position.
Duties
ā¢ Issuing invoices to clients for legal services rendered, as well as to Insureds regarding invoices under the Retention (SIR) of a file so experience with Retentions is preferred.
ā¢ Assist with editing legal bills for grammar, typos, and structure as required for submitting final invoices to clients following firm policies and procedures.
ā¢ Assist with Monitoring payments, managing retainer/trust accounts, Retentions (SIR), and A/R collections and initiate collection calls.
ā¢ Filing, scanning and additional tasks will be required
Requirements:
ā¢ Must be reliable as attendance for this position is extremely important
ā¢ 1 year experience in a legal billing role, preferably in an insurance defense firm preferred.
ā¢ Strong attention to detail with excellent communication skills.
ā¢ Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and meet all deadlines.
ā¢ Experience with Excel is preferred.
Applicant should be motivated, capable of adhering to Deadlines, willing to learn and assist with any additional billing department tasks as assigned by the Billing Admin.

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
