A working knowledge of REVIT and/or AutoCAD is preferred but not required. This designer will be responsible for learning EMA’s design processes, setting up projects, and keeping track of project deliverables and deadlines, while adhering to EMA core values. The goal for an entry level designer is to enhance skills, knowledge, and efficiency to actively engage with a production team and support that team with accurate drafting and basic design. The technical accuracy of work and improvements will be reviewed regularly by the Training Leader, Team Leader, and Department Leader.Responsibilities:Set up all projects with applicable sheets, views, notes, symbols, details, schedules, diagrams, etc.Learn and apply EMA design processes and requirements to all design projects.Understand code requirements governing our design, such as NEC, IESNA, IECC, etc.Demonstrate ability to set up and edit project specifications.Apply design and drafting of systems to drawings based on design criteria and sketches.Communicate effectively with team members, Team Leaders, and Project Managers.Record field work accurately to describe existing conditions on site visits.Conduct field work as needed, which may include driving to job sites and navigating various terrains.Education/Requirements:Associates of Applied Science in Engineering Design Technology, Certificate of Proficiency in Computer-Aided Drafting, or equivalent education preferred but not required.Benefits:Work from home policyFlexible work schedule allowing for half-day FridaysGenerous Paid Time Off policySeven Paid Time holidaysEmployer paid Medical and Dental plan for employees and partial paid Medical plan for dependents.Optional supplemental plans include Vision, Accident & Wellness, and Cancer policies.Enhanced matching 401(k) plan with a maximum match of 7%.Mileage reimbursement at the IRS rate.
