Key Responsibilities As an Entry Level Data Entry Clerk at blithequark, your primary focus will be on inputting data and making necessary changes to existing data figures in our digital databases. Your duties will include, but are not limited to: Inputting data from paper documents into digital spreadsheets, ensuring accuracy and efficiency. Updating order statuses for customers, providing them with timely and accurate information. Double-checking your work to ensure data is inputted correctly, maintaining high standards of quality and precision. Keeping all information confidential, adhering to blithequark's data protection policies and procedures. Inserting customer and account data by inputting text-based and numerical information from source documents within specified time limits. Compiling, verifying the accuracy, and sorting information according to priorities to prepare source data for computer entry. Reviewing data for deficiencies or errors, correcting any incompatibilities if possible, and checking the output to ensure data integrity. Researching and obtaining further information for incomplete documents, demonstrating proactive problem-solving skills. Applying data program techniques and procedures, continuously looking for ways to improve data entry processes. Generating reports, storing completed work in designated locations, and performing backup operations to ensure data security. Scanning documents and printing files when needed, maintaining physical and digital file systems. Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need: A working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, to efficiently manage and analyze data. Strong computer skills, with the ability to learn new software and systems quickly. Basic knowledge of touch typing systems and database management tools, with a willingness to develop these skills further. The ability to enter data into a computer quickly and accurately, with high attention to detail. Strong analytical thinking skills, with the ability to identify and correct errors or inconsistencies in data.
