Entry-Level Civil/Roadway Engineer

They are seeking an Entry-Level Civil/Roadway Engineer to support roadway and transportation design efforts for high-profile projects, while providing training and guidance to develop skills necessary for acquiring a Professional Engineering license. Responsibilities Perform entry-level professional engineering work involving the application of standard techniques, procedures, and design criteria in carrying out routine engineering tasks through effective mentorship Work within the Highway group on the design of civil engineering projects, including local roadways, rural and urban highways, and freeways Collaborate with design teams consisting of multidisciplinary design engineers and technicians Work under the supervision of a project manager or senior-level team member and assist with tasks , including preparing engineering-related calculations, drawings, and visual aids Assist Project Team by providing engineering design support (engineering reports, design calculations, quantity and cost estimates) for roadway, hydraulics, and civil engineering design projects Builds analytic and design skills Conducts engineering design under the supervision of an experienced engineer Creates designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, and final working drawings under the supervision of an experienced engineer Collects and analyzes data under the supervision of an experienced engineer Uses computer software as a tool for solving basic engineering problems Performs work in accordance with the agreed-upon budget and schedule under supervision Skills Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or related field Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) preferred AutoCAD, Civil3D, MicroStation, GeoPak, InRoads, OpenRoads, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS experience Experience designing highway/roadway and storm drainage systems preferred Experience in designing traffic signal installations Benefits Medical Dental Vision Life AD&D Disability benefits Paid time off Leaves of absences Voluntary benefits Perks Flexible work options Well-being resources Employee assistance program Business travel insurance Service recognition awards Retirement savings plan Employee stock purchase plan Company Overview AECOM is a global provider of professional technical and management support services to a broad range of markets.
