The Capital Markets Associate is perfect for those looking to join a fast-paced and dynamic work environment. As a valued member of the Hedging & Trading team, you will be responsible for supporting the effective operations and day-to-day functions for managing interest rate risk on our mortgage pipeline and selling closed loans into the secondary mortgage market.
Primary Responsibilities:
ย Develop and build a deep understanding of mortgage secondary markets and pricing
ย Perform reconciliations with investors to ensure accuracy of loan sale proceeds as well as Mortgage-Backed Securities (MBS) trades
ย Ensure hedging reporting accuracy and work with investors to research mismatches
ย Create, design, and process capital markets management reports
ย Reconcile differences between daily cash positions with investors and internal databases
ย Monitor and track initiated trades and loan sale transactions
ย Assist in developing and maintaining job aids for essential functions
Qualifications:
ย Bachelorยs degree in finance, accounting, business administration or related field
ย Excellent problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail
ย Experience with financial analysis tools including, but not limited to Microsoft Excel
ย Proficient in managing and analyzing large amounts of data
ย Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and investor contacts
