Entry Level Accounting Assistant

Whether you're just starting your accounting career or looking to expand your expertise, this position provides a platform for growth and professional development. • Assist with data entry and account analysis to ensure accuracy across various financial records • Support accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoice processing and payment reconciliation • Perform balance sheet reconciliations and general ledger accounting tasks using software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or PeopleSoft • Prepare journal entries and assist with month-end closing activities in compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) • Help with payroll management tasks utilizing systems like ADP, UltiPro, Ceridian, or Kronos, ensuring timely and accurate employee payments • Support audit preparations by organizing financial documents and verifying account details in accordance with SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) requirements • Contribute to budgeting, tax preparation, and financial analysis activities to support departmental decision-making • Strong understanding of financial concepts such as debits & credits, double entry bookkeeping, and account reconciliation • Proficiency in accounting software including QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, PeopleSoft, or similar platforms • Knowledge of payroll systems like ADP, Paychex, UltiPro, Ceridian or Kronos for payroll management tasks • Familiarity with GAAP standards and governmental accounting practices • Experience with data entry accuracy and 10 key typing skills for efficient record keeping • Ability to perform detailed account analysis and balance sheet reconciliation with precision • Basic understanding of tax processes and non-profit accounting is a plus • Excellent organizational skills combined with a proactive approach to problem-solving • Strong math skills complemented by a keen eye for detail and accuracy in bookkeeping tasks Join us as an Entry Level Accounting Assistant and become part of a vibrant team dedicated to excellence!
