We are looking for a Cloud Data Architect (Google Cloud Platform) to design, build, and optimize enterprise data platforms in Google Cloud. The ideal candidate will combine expertise in data architecture, analytics, and cloud-native technologies to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions.
Key Responsibilities
ā¢ Data Platform Architecture
ā¢ Design cloud-native data architectures using Google Cloud Platform services (BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Looker, etc.).
ā¢ Define data ingestion, transformation, storage, and analytics strategies.
ā¢ Ensure data models support business intelligence, machine learning, and real-time analytics.
ā¢ Cloud Strategy & Implementation
ā¢ Lead migration of on-premises data warehouses and lakes to Google Cloud Platform.
ā¢ Implement best practices for scalability, performance, and cost optimization.
ā¢ Integrate structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data sources.
ā¢ Governance & Security
ā¢ Implement data governance frameworks, metadata management, and access controls.
ā¢ Ensure compliance with data privacy laws (GDPR, HIPAA, etc.).
ā¢ Collaboration & Leadership
ā¢ Partner with business, engineering, and analytics teams to align solutions with business needs.
ā¢ Mentor teams in Google Cloud Platform data engineering and architecture best practices.
Required Skills & Qualifications
ā¢ Technical Skills:
ā¢ 3ā5+ years designing and implementing data solutions in Google Cloud Platform.
ā¢ Strong knowledge of Google Cloud Platform data services: BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Cloud Composer, Looker, Cloud Storage, Dataproc, AI Platform.
ā¢ Proficiency with SQL, Python, and ETL/ELT tools.
ā¢ Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Deployment Manager).
ā¢ Experience in both batch and streaming data processing.
ā¢ Certifications (Preferred):
ā¢ Google Professional Data Engineer
ā¢ Google Professional Cloud Architect
