Remote Full-time
About Us: EvolutionIQ’s mission is to improve the lives of injured and disabled workers and enable them to return to the workforce, saving billions of dollars in avoidable costs and lost productivity to the US and global economies and make insurance more affordable for everyone. We are currently experiencing massive growth and to accomplish our goals, we are hiring world-class talent who want to help build and scale internally, and transform the insurance space. Our team is our #1 priority, and we have been named one of Inc.’s Best Workplaces 3 years in a row! Your Impact: The Engineering Manager will be responsible for driving the day-to-day execution of projects and delivery across our engineering organization. You will lead teams to consistently ship high-quality solutions on time, while upholding technical excellence and operational rigor. By translating strategic objectives into clear, actionable plans, you will ensure strong execution and outcomes, creating space for leadership to focus on broader organizational goals. This role blends technical leadership, program execution, and people management. You will own the processes, rhythms, and accountability structures that keep engineering delivery predictable and aligned, while fostering a culture of clarity, urgency, and continuous improvement. Your leadership will be instrumental in ensuring that our teams not only deliver, but deliver with impact. Responsibilities: Technical Leadership & Engineering Management Lead, coach, and grow a team of engineers through mentorship, feedback, and career development. Provide technical guidance and ensure architectural and code quality standards are met. Support design and code reviews, ensuring engineering best practices are followed. Partner with product management and design to refine requirements and translate them into actionable engineering plans. Delivery & Execution Leadership Own the end-to-end execution of engineering projects, from planning to delivery. Establish and enforce repeatable processes for sprint planning, tracking, and reporting. Anticipate risks and proactively resolve blockers to keep projects on track. Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to manage dependencies and ensure alignment. Track and report on delivery metrics (velocity, quality, timelines). Manage escalations and ensure issues are addressed with urgency and ownership. Lead the creation, iteration, and communication of team OKRs to ensure focus on outcomes, not just outputs. People & Stakeholder Leadership Inspire a high-performing team culture focused on accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Communicate effectively across leadership, peers, and teams — translating strategy into execution. Build strong relationships with stakeholders (Product, Design, QA, Client Success, etc.) to ensure smooth delivery. Balance team workload, priorities, and individual growth to avoid burnout while driving results. Key Skills & Qualifications: 7+ years of engineering experience with at least 3+ years in engineering management or technical program management roles. Proven ability to lead engineering teams through complex projects with multiple dependencies. Strong project and program management skills; comfortable with Agile/Scrum/Kanban frameworks. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities in ambiguous situations. Strong technical foundation (experience in Python, Data pipelines, cloud platforms). Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills. Passion for building great teams and delivering impactful software. What Success Looks Like: Engineering teams are delivering consistently, with predictable timelines and high-quality output. Dependencies and risks are surfaced early and resolved quickly. Teams feel supported, engaged, and clear on priorities. The leadership team has the space to focus on strategy while trusting execution is in strong hands.
