They are seeking an Engineering Designer to assist in the design, analysis, and construction management of municipal infrastructure projects, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and supporting senior engineers in various tasks. Responsibilities Assist in the design, analysis, and construction management of municipal infrastructure projects such as water distribution systems, sewer systems, stormwater management systems, and utility services Perform technical calculations and evaluations to support the design and development of municipal engineering solutions Prepare and review engineering reports, plans, specifications, and technical documentation related to projects Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including engineers, planners, and construction professionals to develop project solutions Review and interpret municipal codes, regulations, and guidelines for design and compliance purposes Assist with project coordination, site inspections, and the review of contractor progress on municipal construction projects Support in the development of cost estimates, scheduling, and project budgeting Participate in the preparation of grant applications, environmental assessments, and permit applications as required for municipal projects Continuously expand knowledge in municipal engineering practices and work toward licensure as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Ontario Support the senior engineers and project managers in client meetings, presentations, and public consultations Skills Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an accredited institution 0-14 years of relevant experience (coop/internship/work terms) Strong understanding of civil engineering principles and practices, with a focus on municipal systems Familiarity with municipal design standards, codes, and regulations Some proficiency in engineering software AutoCAD, Civil 3D, GIS, Hydrologic modeling software, etc.) is ideal Independent problem-solving, and excellent analytical, and communication skills Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work Willingness to learn and grow professionally in the field of municipal engineering Benefits Competitive compensation packages and performance-based bonuses Health, paramedical, vision, and dental coverage A flexible vacation policy that lets you determine your time off based on your other responsibilities and needs Top-up plans for new and expecting parents Firm-paid holidays, summer and winter breaks, and other leaves of absence that cover everything from extra family time, jury duty, or even completing a degree RVA Group Pension Plan with match Global Travel Assist Program that provides emergency out-of-country medical protection for you and your eligible family members on personal and business trips Access to a variety of free services (e.g., employee and family assistance programs, nutrition advice, caregiver support) and employee discounts (e.g., sports and entertainment tickets, major brands, insurance plans) Flexible and alternative work arrangements around core hours, including telecommuting and work-from-home options Company Overview R.V.
