Engineering Designer / Field Support – EV Infrastructure

MasTec Communications Group is a leader in providing wireline and wireless communication services across the nation. They are seeking an Engineering Designer / Field Support professional to support electrical design for EV charging and other infrastructure projects, conducting site visits and collaborating with engineers to create construction-ready designs. Responsibilities Conduct site visits to support EV charging and other infrastructure projects Gather field data including measurements, photos, notes, and existing site conditions Communicate field findings clearly to internal engineering team Support electrical design updates and redlines of construction documents Assist with preparation of construction-ready drawings CAD software Collaborate with engineers to ensure designs reflect real-world conditions Support ongoing coordination between field, engineering, and construction teams Maintain organized documentation from site visits and design updates Skills Background in electrical design, plan preparation and construction support Knowledge and Experience of the latest AutoCAD or similar CAD software packages Comfortable conducting site visits and working independently in the field Strong communication and documentation skills Ability to work collaboratively with engineers and project teams Willingness to travel as needed for site visits Experience supporting EV charging or electrical infrastructure projects Construction or design-build project experience Associate or bachelor's degree in a related field Experience working with Jurisdictional Authorities, project construction teams and public utilities Benefits 401(k) with company match Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP) Life insurance Short-term and Long-term disability Medical, dental, and vision insurance Dependent care and medical flexible spending accounts Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Paid time off Paid holidays Family and medical leave Paid sick time Company Overview MasTec Communications Group (MCG) is a division of MasTec that provides comprehensive services and turnkey solutions for Telecom operators.
