Job Summary Job Description DUTIES: Provide technical leadership in manipulating and transforming large, complex data into consumable business databases and applications for self-service analytics and reporting; analyze system and software issues within the telecommunications domain using Einstein, NDW, XM360, and ADH; design software solutions using UML, dataflow, flowcharts, swim lane diagrams, sequence diagrams, and mind maps; implement software solutions using microservices, AWS cloud computing, and Big Data platforms including Databricks, Spark, and BPM flows; develop software using Python, ETL, Pentaho, Informatica, Scala, and Spark programming languages; query data in Oracle, MongoDB, and Teradata databases using SQL; create data visualizations using Tableau, ThoughtSpot, and Excel for telecom and mobile/wireless operations, and major billing systems including Amdocs, Cable Services Group(CSG), and Ascendon; create system architecture, design and developing specifications using in-depth engineering skills and knowledge to solve difficult development problems and achieve engineering goals; work closely with a variety of team members to clearly define data product requirements and technical roadmaps; determine and source appropriate data for a given analysis; work with data modelers and analysts to understand the business problems they are trying to solve, and create or augment data assets to feed their analysis; integrate knowledge of business and functional priorities; and guide and mentor junior-level engineers. Position is eligible to work remotely one or more days per week, per company policy. REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field, and five (5) years of experience analyzing system and software issues within the telecommunications domain using customer care tools, billing systems, and data warehouse systems; designing software solutions using UML, dataflow, flowcharts, swim lane diagrams, sequence diagrams, and mind maps; implementing software solutions using microservices, AWS cloud computing, and Big Data platforms including Databricks, Spark, and BPM flows; of which three (3) years include developing software using Python, ETL, Pentaho, Informatica, Scala, and Spark; querying data in Oracle, MongoDB, and Teradata databases using SQL; and creating data visualizations using Tableau, ThoughtSpot, and Excel.
