Energy Strategy Analyst
Rowan Digital Infrastructure is redefining how data centers are delivered, and they are seeking an Energy Strategy Analyst to support the execution of energy strategy across their growing portfolio of data center developments. This role will involve analyzing power markets and utility environments while contributing to strategies that align with the company's sustainability objectives.ResponsibilitiesSupport development and execution of energy strategies that enable delivery of power infrastructure for new data center campusesConduct analysis of power markets, utility territories, and grid infrastructure to inform siting and development decisions; leverage third party siting tools to collaborate with cross-functional teamsSupport evaluation of load interconnection pathways, including timelines, risks, and cost drivers across utilitiesDevelop analytical models to estimate cost of power, infrastructure requirements, and key commercial considerations across marketsCompile and maintain insights on utility processes, transmission constraints, substation capacity, and generation buildoutTrack market activity, including hyperscaler and developer expansion, and monitor regulatory and tariff developments impacting large loadsSupport cross-functional teams in project diligence, site evaluation, and energy-related decision-makingPrepare clear, structured materials and insights to support internal strategy discussions and external engagementsSkillsBachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., engineering, economics, finance, business, or similar)1–4 years of experience in energy markets, utilities, infrastructure, consulting, or a related analytical fieldStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in Excel (Python or similar tools a plus)Ability to structure complex, ambiguous problems and communicate insights clearly and conciselyInterest in power markets, grid infrastructure, and large-scale energy use cases such as data centersExperience working across multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, cross-functional environmentFamiliarity with U.S. power markets, utility rate structures, or interconnection processesBenefitsHybrid working environmentTeam building and educational opportunitiesGenerous benefits package including robust health benefits and a 401(k) company contributionUnlimited PTOCompetitive compensation and bonus planCompany OverviewRowan Digital Infrastructure designs to deliver low-cost net zero solutions to green data centers It was founded in 2020, and is headquartered in Houston, Texas, USA, with a workforce of 51-200 employees.
