They are seeking an Energy Research Associate II to design and implement surveys, conduct interviews, and perform quantitative analyses related to energy performance. Responsibilities Designing and implementing surveys Conducting semi-structured interviews Performing descriptive quantitative analyses using R, SPSS, or similar data analysis packages Conducting onsite audits of the energy performance of homes and businesses Developing energy analyses and energy models Writing clear and concise research summaries, memoranda, and reports Skills Master's level education or prior work in environmental science, policy, economics, sociology, or other social science programs Ability to think critically and creatively Initiative and willingness to ask questions Ability to contribute to a culture of teamwork and employee ownership Ability to share knowledge freely and offer unique perspectives Ability to give and receive constructive feedback Commitment to sustainability and high-quality research Certification as a Home Energy Rating System rater (training paid by NMR) Ability to perform onsite audits of homes and businesses Ability to travel up to 25% of the time for several consecutive months, sometimes requiring overnight stays Living in the Boston area Benefits Employee Stock Ownership Plan Health, dental, and disability insurance 401K Three weeks of paid vacation in the first year of employment (up to six weeks after multiple years of employment) Paid parental leave Reimbursement for continuing education, home internet, and fitness expenses Company Overview NMR Group helps clients evaluate energy-efficiency and renewable energy programs and assess the complex markets in which they operate.
