Employment Lawyer
I am working with a premier law firm with offices throughout California that is actively searching for an Employment Lawyer. The ideal candidate will have at least 8+ years of experience as a defense-oriented PAGA expert. This is a fully remote Employment Lawyer position.
Qualifications
Employment Lawyer Qualifications and Responsibilities:
ā¢ 8+ years of experience required as a PAGA expert.
ā¢ Jury trial experience preferred.
ā¢ Must live in CA.
ā¢ Licensed to practice law in CA.
Responsibilities
ā¢ Advocate on behalf of insurance carriers, third-party administrators, and self-insured employers.
ā¢ Prepare correspondence to clients.
ā¢ Draft pleadings.
ā¢ Attend court appearances.
ā¢ Manage calendar.
ā¢ Conduct depositions and cross-examinations of doctors.
ā¢ Negotiate settlements.
ā¢ Proactive case management.
ā¢ Mentor and manage legal assistant.
ā¢ Establish relationships with clients, co-workers, and vendors.
ā¢ Attend marketing events with new and existing clients.
ā¢ Review and work on files, enter time into billing software.
ā¢ Input case information into PracticeMaster.
ā¢ Meet deadlines for client correspondence.
ā¢ Attend client meetings.
ā¢ Conduct training seminars for clients on changing employment laws.
ā¢ Understand and maintain current knowledge of employment law and statutes.
