Role: Elect - Cloud Developer 3 - Remote Location: 1100 Bank St. Richmond, VA 23219 - Remote Work Schedule Interview process: Web Cam Interview Only Contract Role Job description: The Virginia Department of Elections (ELECT) is seeking an Azure Developer with minimum 3 years’ experience to work with an existing software development team. You will be working with our more established contractors and staff to focus on several web and Windows applications used both by internal ELECT staff and constituents of the Commonwealth of Virginia. The candidate will need expertise as a programmer and designer for Cloud Services. Experience implementing and developing applications to interface with Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and other offerings from the major Cloud Service Providers required. Responsible for analysis, design, and coding for a new application. Will be involved in maintenance, enhancement and development work. The candidate will need a range of skills and knowledge of the technologies used and applications supported by the Application Team. Works with the Business Analyst, Application Architect and other Application Development Team members on an as-needed basis to ensure that design and code meets customer requirements. may also need to work with SaaS and Cloud service providers. Candidate will need to be comfortable working with C#, .NET Framework & Core, MVC & WebForms, Web Services; SQL, Git SCM, and Javascript. Experience with Jira, Azure DevOps, and Application security will help you stand out in this position. ELECT uses mobile and responsive design practices, so a familiarity with these methodologies would be a plus. Skill matrix: At least 3 years of documented Azure experience is required, with strong ability to work without assistance on complex work efforts Required 3 Years Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure services (Azure Functions, Azure App Service, Azure Kubernetes Service, Azure DevOps, etc.) Required 3 Years Proficiency in C#, >NET, Python, Java, or Node.js Required 3 Years Experience with Terraform, ARM Templates, or Bicep for provisioning cloud resources Required 3 Years Knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD, and GitHub actions Required 3 Years Working knowledge of Azure Functions and Logic Apps Required 3 Years Experience with Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, and storage solutions Required 3 Years Understanding of identity management (Azure AD, RBAC, OAuth, etc.) networking security, and compliance best practices Required 3 Years Proficiency in designing RESTful APIs and working with API management Required 3 Years Experience with Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and Log Analytics Required 3 Years Strong debugging and performance optimization skills Required 3 Years Ability to work in Agile teams and communicate technical concepts effectively Required 3 Years Azure certifications like AZ-204 (Azure Developer Associate) or AZ-400 (DevOps Engineer Expert) are highly desirable Highly desired 3 Years Familiarity with Agile methodologies and working in a DevOps culture Required 3 Years Remote About the Company: Lorven Technologies
