Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Education required; Master's or Ph.D. preferred.

U.S. State Teaching License for Junior High or High School Education; ELA endorsement is a plus.

At least 5 years of experience teaching honors-level Language Arts at the junior high or high school level (excluding teacher aide positions or ESL).

Advanced writing and grammar skills with the ability to teach these critical areas.

Comfortable with technology and willing to learn new software.

Knowledge of Latin is a plus but not required.

Reliable internet connection and a professional home setup for remote teaching.

Responsibilities

Teach honors-level ELA courses for junior high and high school students with a focus on reading, grammar, spelling, and writing.

Develop and implement lesson plans and instructional materials in line with the curriculum adopted by the relevant educational board.

Create and adapt curriculum based on student needs using the provided digital platform; all related expenses (e.g., licensing fees) will be covered.

Employ various instructional strategies, including inquiry, lecture, and discovery, to maximize learning.

Transform lesson plans into effective learning experiences, optimizing instructional time.

Assess and track students' academic and social growth, maintain records, and prepare progress reports.

Engage students through remote learning platforms, ensuring they remain motivated and on task.

Recommend appropriate books and instructional aids as needed.

Administer standardized tests according to state requirements.

Collaborate with administrators to establish and follow evaluation methods in line with guidelines.
