Educational Audiologist | Portsmouth, Virginia

A full-time audiologist position is available to provide comprehensive audiology services within a K-12 school district in the Virginia Beach area. This itinerant role offers an exciting opportunity to establish and develop an in-house audiology program that supports student hearing health, replacing prior external clinic services. The assignment spans through June 16, 2026, with an immediate start date.

Responsibilities:
• Conduct hearing assessments and screenings at various school locations across the district.
• Collaborate with educators, parents, and healthcare professionals to support students' hearing needs.
• Develop and implement individualized intervention plans and recommendations.
• Manage caseloads of students ranging from kindergarten through 12th grade.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with state audiology regulations.
• Participate in ongoing program development to expand district audiology services.

Qualifications and Experience:
• PhD in Audiology required.
• Active Virginia audiologist licensure.
• Experience working with school-age children preferred.
• Ability to work independently in an itinerant setting with travel between schools.
• Strong communication and organizational skills to build relationships with school staff and families.
• Commitment to program development and student-centered care.

Location and Hours:
• Position based in Portsmouth, VA, serving schools within the Virginia Beach area.
• Full-time schedule, 37.5 hours per week.
• Itinerant service delivery requires travel to multiple school sites.
