Education Consultant 3 – K-12 Literacy (Office of Teaching and Learning)

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Education Consultant 3 to join our Office of Teaching and Learning team, specifically in the Division of K-12 Literacy. As an Education Consultant 3, you will play a critical role in providing literacy support to instructional leaders across the state, with a focus on improving literacy outcomes through best practices and research-based support. Key Responsibilities: • Develop resources and tools to support instructional leaders and improve literacy in K-12 classrooms • Deliver professional development training statewide on the use of quality resources and tools • Build guidance documents and tools to guide school systems in the development of local literacy plans • Collaborate with school leaders and site coordinators to create a school-wide focus on goals for reading achievement • Plan, conduct, and evaluate staff development and in-service training • Oversee the operation, implementation, and logistics of federal, state, and local grants Requirements: • Baccalaureate degree plus four years of professional level experience in teaching or education • Master's degree plus three years of professional level experience in teaching or education • Master's degree in education plus two years of professional level experience in teaching or education • Strong communication and management skills • Experience in teaching K-2 ELA classrooms, providing professional development, and holding a leadership or mentoring position within education What We Offer: • Competitive salary ($5,021 - $8,194 per month) • Comprehensive benefits package • Opportunities for professional growth and development • Meaningful work that makes a positive impact on education in Louisiana Location: Baton Rouge, LA (Remote work options available) How to Apply: If you are passionate about education and have the skills and experience we are looking for, please submit your application today.
