A leading publisher in the physical sciences is seeking a Part time - REMOTE temporary full-time Editorial Assistant to join their dynamic team for 6+ months. The successful candidate will report to the Director of Publishing Development and provide critical support to the Publishing Team.
The ideal candidate has 2+ years of editorial experience and is looking to increase their portfolio.
The position is paying up to $28/hour and the company would like to hire ASAP.
Key Responsibilities:
Review submissions to ensure they meet ethical standards.
Manage articles through the peer review and production processes, ensuring timely publication.
Communicate with authors, editors, and conference organizers, providing guidance on publishing processes and addressing inquiries.
Assist with administrative tasks that support the success of the Conference Proceedings program.
Requirements:
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage time effectively.
Team player with the ability to adapt to changing situations.
Willingness to learn new systems and processes.
