Editor Needed for First Chapter of Horror Novella
I am writing a psychological horror novella and am looking for feedback on the first chapter (~2200 words).
I basically want to know what is and isn’t working. This could turn into more work if you provide helpful feedback, as there are 10 chapters total. I’m concerned more with content than with grammar.
If hired, I’d like you to read the first chapter and answer the following questions:
- Were there any parts that confused you? What were they?
- Were there any parts you didn’t like? Why?
- What did you think was this chapter’s biggest strength?
You MUST have access to Google Docs. Please leave comments in the document to indicate parts you’re confused about or parts that you feel need changes. (Again, not super concerned with grammar/wording, but the actual story/content.)
Please let me know how familiar you are with the horror genre. Also, there are scenes in this novella that may be upsetting, so let me know if there are certain topics you are not comfortable reading.
I have other novels that I have written that need a fresh set of eyes as well, so this could potentially turn into a lot more work for the right person!
