EDI Consultant; Freelance, Remote - Europe
Position: EDI Consultant (Freelance, Remote - Europe) Location: Germany EDI Consultant (Freelance, Remote - Europe) at Sidekick Network Our automotive customer is in the process of becoming independent as part of a larger organizational transformation. To support this transition, we are looking for an experienced EDI Consultant / EDI Coordinator to oversee the migration of existing EDI systems to an external service provider. The role focuses on process coordination, stakeholder communication, and testing – not on technical development or interface setup. Framework Conditions • Location: Remote (within Europe) • Start: Immediate / ASAP • Duration: 6 months • Contract: Freelance • Language: English (must) • Candidates must be based in Europe Tasks • Act as the main coordinator between business stakeholders, external EDI service providers, and trading partners • Support the outsourcing and migration of existing EDI systems and interfaces connected to SAP • Ensure effective communication, alignment, and documentation between all parties • Monitor, test, and validate EDI message exchanges and data quality • Coordinate and document issue resolution, test cases, and go-live activities • Define and implement processes and governance structures for the new EDI setup • Oversee daily EDI operations to ensure stability and smooth data exchange Requirements • Minimum 6 years of experience in EDI coordination, business integration, or interface management • Solid understanding of EDI processes and standards (e.g., EDIFACT, ANSI X12, IDoc) • Experience in SAP-related EDI integration, particularly with MM, SD, and PP modules • Experience collaborating with external EDI providers and managing multiple partners • Hands-on experience with testing and validation of EDI connections and data flows • Excellent organizational and communication skills in an international environment • Structured, proactive, and detail-oriented working style • Fluent English (spoken and written) • Ability to work independently Seniority level • Associate Employment type • Contract Job function • Other • Business Consulting and Services #J-18808-Ljbffr Apply tot his job Apply tot his job
