Edge Operations Monitoring Specialist
CGI Federal is seeking an Edge Operations Monitoring Specialist within its Intel sector to advance national security through innovative technology. The role involves monitoring, maintaining, and troubleshooting edge computing systems, utilizing monitoring tools, and collaborating with technical teams to ensure operational efficiency.ResponsibilitiesReal-time Monitoring: Continuously track the performance and health of edge devices and systems using specialized monitoring platformsAnomaly Detection: Identify deviations, errors, and performance bottlenecks by analyzing metrics and data generated at the edgeTechnical Troubleshooting: Investigate and resolve issues on edge devices, such as system failures, connectivity problems, and software malfunctionsData Analysis: Collect and analyze performance data from edge locations to identify trends, predict potential issues, and gather insights for process improvementCollaboration and Escalation: Liaise with operations, engineering, and other internal teams to coordinate efforts and escalate complex problems for resolutionDocumentation: Maintain accurate records of incidents, monitoring activities, and resolutions using ticketing and documentation toolsProactive Maintenance: Develop strategies and implement solutions to improve system stability and prevent future operational problemsLiaison and Communication: Communicate technical information, alerts, and resolution statuses clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholdersSkillsBachelor's degree and/or 0 to 2 years of experienceTS/SCI required with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI with Poly highly desiredStrong background in IT systems, networks, and operational processes relevant to edge computing environmentsProficiency with IT monitoring tools (e.g., Dynatrace, Nagios, Zabbix) and ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow)Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to quickly identify root causes and implement effective solutions under pressureStrong written and verbal communication skills to convey complex technical information to diverse audiencesMeticulous approach to data analysis, incident reporting, and documentationKnowledge of how edge computing, cloud computing, and data center operations integrate and interactBenefitsCompetitive compensationComprehensive insurance optionsMatching contributions through the 401(k) plan and the share purchase planPaid time off for vacation, holidays, and sick timePaid parental leaveLearning opportunities and tuition assistanceWellness and Well-being programsCompany OverviewCGI is an IT and business consulting services firm that offers consulting, cyber security, cloud, and IT services.
