Early Career Scientist, Geologist or Environmental Engineer

They are seeking a self-motivated Junior Geologist, Scientist, or Engineer to support a wide range of environmental projects, working closely with a multidisciplinary team to protect natural resources and promote sustainable communities. Responsibilities Support environmental assessments and investigations involving surface and subsurface soil, groundwater, surface water, and soil vapor Perform data entry, quality review, and assist with report preparation to document field investigation results Assist in the preparation of work plans and other project-related documentation Provide field oversight and support on environmental and construction-related projects Support general office and administrative tasks for project teams Assist with a diverse range of projects, which may include environmental compliance, construction support, natural resource management, and hazardous site investigation and remediation Skills Bachelor of Science degree in Geology, Environmental Science, Hydrology, Geosciences, Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field 1 or more years of relevant experience in environmental consulting, including exposure to: Field sampling procedures, Monitoring well installation, Subcontractor oversight, Analytical data interpretation, Technical reporting Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work effectively on multidisciplinary teams Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and Adobe applications Ability to travel frequently, typically on 2-3 day long trips. Most travel will be local to New York state, but will require overnight stays.
