In this role, you will engage in various aspects of applied materials and processes engineering, focusing on the development and fabrication of space vehicles and propulsion systems. Your projects may involve material and manufacturing process selection, development, testing, characterization, and analysis. The specific duties will align with our business unit objectives, providing you with the opportunity to work on innovative projects that directly contribute to our goals. The position is based in Van Horn, TX, which is at the heart of Blue Origin operations. Employees at this location may receive additional financial incentives, including a living allowance and relocation assistance, contingent upon their ability to relocate or travel to Van Horn at least 50% of the time. This role is ideal for those who are passionate about space exploration and eager to contribute to groundbreaking projects in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities
• Engage in applied materials and processes engineering for space vehicles and propulsion systems.

• Select, develop, and test materials and manufacturing processes.
,
• Conduct characterization and analysis of materials used in space applications.
,
• Collaborate with team members on rapid development programs.
,
• Contribute to the safety and repeatability of space flight operations.

Requirements
• Successfully completed an internship with Blue Origin in 2024.
,
• Enrolled or recently graduated from a college or university.
,
• Able to start working full-time on or before September of 2025.
,
• Minimum of a B.S. degree in materials science and engineering, metallurgical engineering, chemical engineering, polymer engineering, welding engineering, or equivalent.
,
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
,
• Self-driven with the ability to seek out requirements with minimal direction.
,
• Strong written, verbal, communication, and interpersonal skills.
,
• Passion for Blue's Mission with a strong desire to continuously learn and improve.
,
• Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident, or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Nice-to-haves
