Early Career CAD Drafter
EA Engineering is a company focused on providing interdisciplinary services to address complex environmental challenges. They are seeking an Early Career CAD Drafter to produce high-quality technical drawings and figures for environmental engineering projects, supporting design concepts and field data transformation into accurate plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
Responsibilities
ā¢ Prepare detailed engineering design plans and figures using AutoCAD Civil 3D
ā¢ Perform drafting tasks under the direction of engineers and senior designers
ā¢ Create and modify grading plans, utility layouts, alignments, site plans, and profiles
ā¢ Generate surface models and perform earthwork analyses
ā¢ Interpret and apply survey data, field notes, and engineering markups
ā¢ Assist in developing construction drawings that comply with local, state, and federal standards
ā¢ Perform quantity takeoffs and support project estimating
ā¢ Collaborate with GIS drafters and Plant 3D designers for data integration and consistency
ā¢ Import and incorporate GPS field data and geospatial information into project drawings
ā¢ Maintain organized CAD files, templates, and project data in accordance with company standards
ā¢ Coordinate with internal teams to meet deadlines and ensure drawing accuracy
Skills
ā¢ Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D, including tools such as surface creation, alignments, profiles, and grading
ā¢ Ability to read and interpret engineering plans, surveys, and specifications
ā¢ Strong attention to detail, with effective problem-solving and organizational skills
ā¢ Associate's degree or certificate in Drafting, Civil Engineering Technology, or a related field
