Driver Helper
About the position
The Driver Helper position at Waste Management involves assisting the Route Driver in the collection of waste and recyclable materials. This role is essential for ensuring efficient service delivery while adhering to safety regulations and company policies. The position requires physical stamina and teamwork, as the Driver Helper will be involved in loading and unloading containers and communicating with the Route Manager and Dispatch regarding service issues.
Responsibilities
? Assist the Route Driver in the collection of waste and recyclable materials.

? Manually or mechanically load and empty residential and/or commercial containers into the truck.
,
? Operate hoisting devices to lift and empty bins or containers into the truck hopper.
,
? Assist the driver with all backing maneuvers while on route.
,
? Report all unsafe situations or service-related issues to the Route Manager or Dispatch immediately.
,
? Attend and participate in all scheduled training programs, briefings, and meetings as required.
,
? Notify the Route Manager of any incidents, accidents, injuries, or property damage.
,
? Communicate customer requests to Dispatch or Route Manager.
,
? Perform all duties as scheduled by Route Manager or Dispatch and assist other drivers as directed.
Requirements
? Six months of prior work experience required.
