THI Water Well has been serving the North Texas area since 1981. Our specialty is drilling and servicing large and deep diameter water wells for municipalities/cities, rig supply/oil companies, corporations, farms/ranches, irrigation, and builders. We work with, and are trusted by, a number of engineering firms. We are currently seeking self-motivated and mechanically inclined individuals to fill our Drilling Rig Hand position.
Drilling Rig Hand / Roughneck position is an experienced position whose main job function is to assist the water well driller or operator. The Drilling Rig Hand / Roughneck position includes the following job duties:
• Mix mud and work on pumps
• Be able to complete tasks without the direct supervision of the driller
• Experienced with mud systems
• Performing routine maintenance on machines and equipment
• Operate Heavy Equipment as needed
• Perform daily safety checks
• Assist the driller in preparing for all operations
• Ensuring rig is properly equipped and maintained
• Maintaining accurate and in-depth drilling notes
• Ensuring the well site is clean and orderly
• Following all safety guidelines and reporting issues as needed
• All other duties as assigned
Requirements:
• Prior drilling experience (water well or oilfield) required. 1-2 years.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 100 pounds
• Must be willing to travel to job sites throughout the state of Texas, including daily reasonable travel radius
• 10% overnight travel
• Must be willing to work longer shifts and overtime as needed
Job Type: Full-Time
Primary Reporting Locations: Bowie or Pilot Point
Pay: $18 per hour Starting Pay, $1 increase after first 90-days. CDL drivers start at $19 per hour with $1 increase after first 90-days.
