Donation Support Coordinator - Remote

The Donation Support Coordinator (DSC) is responsible for telephone screening to determine suitability for tissue donation, obtaining authorization from family for donation, and completion of medical/social history of deceased patient. The DSC is responsible for database entry and other office duties necessary to ensure proper processing of donors according to FDA and AATB standards. Working hours: 7am -7pm rotating days of the week (including some weekends and holidays). This position is remote; with a preference of candidates living in the South and/or Mid-west area of the US. You will need to provide your own laptop and computer. Office located in Memphis, TN. Salary is $20- $24 p/h range; based on experience and education. Qualifications: Must have a college degree or two years experience working in healthcare or related field. Medical terminology knowledge is preferred. Previous OPO experience a plus! Data entry/transcription experience needed. Must demonstrate exceptional verbal and listening skills because all communication is done over the phone. Candidate should demonstrate confidence in their communication to balance showing compassion to donor families and requesting authorization of musculoskeletal and/or cardiovascular tissues for donation.
