Job Title: Dome Watch Full Stack Web Developer
Location: Washington, D.C.
Position Type: Full Time
General Responsibilities:
ā¢ Extensive experience supporting, maintaining, and debugging production systems built using Vue, Nuxt, Node.js/TypeScript, and related frontend and backend frameworks.
ā¢ Proficiency maintaining and extending mobile applications for iOS and Android, including experience with Flutter or native workflows; managing releases through Apple App Store Connect and Google Play Console.
ā¢ Hands-on experience managing cloud-hosted applications in AWS and Google Cloud, including log analysis, service restarts, container updates, and secure configuration changes.
ā¢ Ability to diagnose and resolve operational issues in distributed systems.
ā¢ Experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redis, or similar datastores.
ā¢ Proficiency with containerization and CI/CD (Docker, GitLab CI/CD).
ā¢ Experience with administrative dashboards, analytics interfaces, and internal middleware.
ā¢ Familiarity with House APIs, authentication layers, and OAuth2/MSAL integrations.
On-Call Support Requirements:
ā¢ Provide rapid responses to urgent issues.
ā¢ Diagnose production failures, data ingestion errors, or service interruptions.
ā¢ Perform safe hotfix deployments and configuration updates.
ā¢ Communicate clearly with stakeholders during time-sensitive incidents.
ā¢ Manage app store updates, certificates, and compliance workflows.
Plus Factors:
ā¢ Prior experience supporting Democratic Leadership systems (DemCom, DomeWatch, Dome Directory, Resume Bank).
ā¢ Experience with ETL or aggregation pipelines.
ā¢ Knowledge of legislative workflows and leadership communications.
ā¢ Experience with search systems (OpenSearch/ElasticSearch).
EDUCATION:
ā¢ Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
EXPERIENCE Required:
ā¢ Experience using modern web development tools, techniques, and methods for the creation and deployment of user-facing interfaces and backend web applications, including all aspects of server-side processing, data storage, and integration.
ā¢ Experience with DemCom, Resume Bank, DomeWatch, Dome Directory, and affiliated web, mobile, and backend services.
ā¢ 5+ years full-stack engineering experience, with 1-3 years supporting production systems with mobile and web components.
