Documentation Specialist

Day Shift - 7.5 Hours (United States of America) The Documentation Specialist will be responsible for ensuring that clinical documentation in the medical record is pertinent, timely, accurate, and complete. She/he will concurrently interact with Physicians and HIM coders to ensure that documentation captures clinical severity to support the level of service, core measures, and accurate reimbursement. Requirements: - A Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing or International Medical Graduate preferred or Associate degree in nursing is acceptable - Must possess Minimum 3 years of acute care hospital experience - AHIMA CCA or CCS certification preferred - ACDIS CCDS or AHIMA CDIP certification preferred - Minimum 1 years of Inpatient Coding experience with ICD-10 CM/PCS preferred - CDI experience preferred - Computer skills, Microsoft 365, Teams, Excel, Word, Nuance, 3M 360, and Meditech preferred -Strong interpersonal skills, ability to interact professionally with others, verbally and in writing -Ability to meet daily productivity expectations and identify query opportunities impacting the case mix index This is a remote position, work schedule aligning with facility hours of operation eastern standard time Salary Range: $80,000 - $90,000 Employment Non-Discrimination: Richmond University Medical Center is committed to equality of opportunity in all aspects of employment and provides full and equal employment opportunities to all employees and potential employees without regard to race, color, national origin, religion, gender identity, sex, sexual orientation, pregnancy, childbirth and related medical conditions and needs including lactation accommodations, physical or mental disability, age, immigration or citizenship status, veteran or active military status, genetic information, or any other legally protected status.
