About the Role & Program:

The Disney Entertainment (DE) segment of The Walt Disney Company is responsible for the monetization of Disney’s content across streaming, television, and theatrical distribution. This global organization oversees the operations of Disney+ and Hulu, domestic entertainment broadcast and cable networks, theatrical distribution, and content licensing. Our mission is to expand the reach of Disney’s world-class content and iconic brands while delivering personalized entertainment experiences to audiences worldwide.

The Content Planning & Analysis team serves as an internal advisory group, working closely with Disney’s content studios and key partners across finance, strategy, data analytics, research, and operational marketing. We conduct in-depth content performance evaluations, forecast key financial and audience metrics, and develop strategic insights that drive data-driven decision-making.

Recent projects include:
• Forecasting and performance measurement for new movie and TV series greenlighting decisions.
• Valuation of content licensing deals to support negotiations with third-party media & entertainment companies.
• Developing new metrics to measure content performance across streaming, cable, and theatrical platforms.

What You Will Do:

As part of our team, you will contribute to strategic content distribution decisions, conduct in-depth data analyses, and develop insights that influence executive decision-making at Disney Entertainment.

Key responsibilities include:
• Extracting and synthesizing insights from multiple datasets to analyze audience trends and subscriber behaviors.
• Building and maintaining forecasting models to predict content performance and engagement.
• Developing analytical frameworks to evaluate past content investments and identify future opportunities for optimization.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to translate data into strategic recommendations.

Required Qualifications & Skills:
• Proficiency in SQL to clean, transform, and analyze large datasets.
• Experience with data visualization to present complex insights in a clear, compelling manner.
• Strong analytical background, including knowledge of econometric methods for causal analysis and/or machine learning techniques for forecasting.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Familiarity with programming languages such as Python or R.
• Experience working with complex databases and large-scale data analysis.

Education:
• Currently pursuing a Master’s degree in a quantitative or interdisciplinary field, such as Data Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field.

Eligibility Requirements & Program Information:
• Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program AND returning to school the semester/quarter following the internship OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship.
• Current Disney Interns, College, International, or Culinary Program Participants: You may only work for ONE consecutive year (12 months) in any combination of an internship and/or program.
• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Possess unrestricted work authorization.

Additional Information:
• Fully available for the entire program duration: May/June - August/September 2025 (12 weeks) from Monday through Friday.
• Able to provide own housing for the internship program duration in Burbank, CA.
• Able to provide/have reliable transportation to/from work.
• Have not completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or Disney College Program.

The pay rate for this role in Santa Monica, CA is $35.00 per hour.
