You’ll be empowered to take initiative, contribute ideas, and grow your career within a supportive and ambitious organization.Position Summary:We are seeking a seasoned Director of Project Management to lead the execution of utility-scale renewable energy projects, with a focus on solar, wind, and/or battery storage. This role is pivotal in ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will bring deep experience in construction management, particularly in the Mid-Atlantic / Southeast regions, and will be adept at interfacing with EPC contractors, equipment suppliers, and internal stakeholders.Key Responsibilities:Lead the execution of renewable energy projects from late-stage development through commercial operation.Manage project scope, schedule, and budget – including any change orders – across multiple concurrent projects.Serve as the primary point of contact for EPC contractors, OEMs, and key vendors.Oversee project controls, risk management, and quality assurance processes.Collaborate with development teams to ensure seamless transition from development to construction.Ensure a smooth handoff to operations teams at commercial operation date (COD).Mentor and manage a team of junior and mid-level project managers, fostering professional growth and high performance.Support contract negotiations and execution with EPCs and major equipment suppliers.Provide regular project reporting to senior leadership and stakeholders.Ensure contractors, sub-contractors and their employees are complying with TerraForm Power’s Health, Safety, and Environmental policiesSkills & QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (Master’s preferred).10+ years of experience in project management, with at least 5 years in renewable energy construction.Proven track record of delivering utility-scale renewable energy projects, ideally in Virginia and neighboring states.Strong understanding of EPC contract structures and vendor management.Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.Ability to travel as needed.PMP certification or equivalent.Experience with permitting and interconnection processes in the PJM and SERC regions.Familiarity with project management software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project, Procore).Originally posted on Himalayas
