Director, People Solutions- HRIS
Adaptive Solutions Group is a premier provider of information technology personnel. We provide a variety of technical professionals available for contract, contract-to-hire, or direct placement positions to companies throughout the Midwest. We are currently looking for a Director, Workday HCM to join our team.
Responsibilities
ā¢ Define and execute the HR systems strategy in alignment with organizational goals and business objectives.
ā¢ Serve as the functional owner of the Workday HCM platform, driving strategic initiatives, enhancements, and continuous improvement efforts.
ā¢ Oversee and optimize Workday modules including Core HCM, Compensation, Benefits, Talent Acquisition, Onboarding, Talent Management, Absence, Payroll, and Reporting.
ā¢ Identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve compliance, and enhance the employee experience through technology.
ā¢ Lead, mentor, and develop a team of HRIS process leaders and functional experts.
ā¢ Collaborate with HR, technology, payroll, compliance, and business stakeholders to prioritize system enhancements and initiatives.
ā¢ Manage release planning, testing, deployment activities, and post-implementation support.
ā¢ Ensure functional requirements are clearly documented, validated, and aligned with business needs.
ā¢ Establish governance processes for system configurations, security, access controls, and change management.
ā¢ Drive data integrity, reporting capabilities, and self-service functionality to support data-driven decision-making.
ā¢ Partner with internal teams and external vendors to translate business objectives into scalable system solutions.
ā¢ Support organizational transformation initiatives and promote adoption of new technologies and processes.
ā¢ Monitor system performance and recommend improvements that align with long-term business goals.
Required Qualifications
ā¢ Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
ā¢ 10+ years of experience in HR systems, HRIS, Workday, or related enterprise application leadership roles.
ā¢ Strong experience supporting and optimizing Workday HCM and related modules.
ā¢ Proven experience leading teams and managing cross-functional initiatives.
ā¢ Knowledge of HR processes, employee lifecycle management, compliance requirements, and data governance practices.
ā¢ Experience with system configuration, testing, deployment, documentation, and user training.
ā¢ Familiarity with ticketing systems and structured support processes.
ā¢ Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
ā¢ Ability to translate business requirements into functional system solutions.
ā¢ Experience managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
ā¢ Workday certifications.
ā¢ Experience leading large-scale Workday implementations, upgrades, or transformation initiatives.
ā¢ Advanced knowledge of Workday reporting, dashboards, and analytics capabilities.
ā¢ Experience working with payroll, benefits, talent management, and recruiting systems.
ā¢ Strong background in change management and organizational adoption strategies.
ā¢ Master's degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.

ā¢ This position is primarily office-based and may require extended periods of sitting and computer work.
ā¢ Ability to lift up to 10 pounds on an occasional basis.
