About the position The Director of Sustainability is a newly created role aimed at championing sustainable business practices within Alkermes, Inc. This position involves engaging with cross-functional teams to identify and implement sustainability opportunities that align with the company's environmental, social, and governance (ESG) strategy. The Director will also play a crucial role in preparing the company for upcoming ESG-related disclosure regulations, working closely with passionate colleagues across the organization. Responsibilities • Engage with cross-functional teams to identify sustainability opportunities. • Implement sustainable business practices that support the company's ESG strategy. • Prepare the company for upcoming ESG-related disclosure regulations. • Collaborate with colleagues across the company to promote sustainability initiatives. Requirements • Proven experience in sustainability practices and ESG strategy implementation. • Strong leadership and communication skills to engage with diverse teams. • Ability to innovate and drive change within an organization. • Experience in preparing for regulatory compliance related to sustainability. Nice-to-haves • Experience in the biopharmaceutical industry. • Familiarity with environmental regulations and compliance standards. • Knowledge of sustainability reporting frameworks.
