Job Summary: Director of Sales (Cross OpCo Reorg)

As a Director of Sales at FedEx, you will play a pivotal role in planning, organizing, directing, and controlling sales activities to achieve revenue goals within an assigned district/region or on an account basis. You will lead a team of sales managers, professionals, and support staff, providing guidance, training, coaching, and performance evaluation to ensure success.

Key Responsibilities:


Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and expand market share
Lead, motivate, and manage a team of sales managers, professionals, and support staff to ensure alignment with company goals
Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, partners, and stakeholders
Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to inform sales strategies and tactics
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, operations, and finance, to drive business growth
Develop and manage sales budgets, forecasts, and reports to ensure accurate tracking and analysis
Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities, expanding FedEx's presence in existing and new markets


Requirements and Qualifications:

Essential Qualifications:


Bachelor's degree or equivalent required; advanced degree preferred
Significant professional experience in commercial/industrial sales, with a proven track record of success
Minimum 3 years of field sales line management experience, with a focus on recruiting and building a sales organization
Excellent human relations, communication, and leadership skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with experience in data analysis and interpretation


Preferred Qualifications:


MBA or advanced degree in business, marketing, or a related field
Experience in the transportation or logistics industry, with knowledge of industry trends and regulations
Proven experience in managing and developing high-performing sales teams
Strong understanding of sales performance metrics, including revenue growth, customer acquisition, and sales efficiency
