Job DetailsJob Location: Portland, OR 97229The Key Accounts Director is a senior sales leadership role responsible for managing and growing Tosoh Quartz Inc.’s most strategically important customer relationships. This role represents an evolution of the Key Account Manager position, with expanded accountability for account strategy, cross-account support, and internal leadership.

The Key Accounts Director will act as the primary owner for Intel and oversee other major accounts, while also supporting broader key account development across the organization. This role serves as a critical bridge between executive leadership and account teams, ensuring consistent, strategic, and high-quality customer engagement.

This position reports to the Vice-President of Sales and is a key component of TQI’s long-term leadership pipeline.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Account Leadership

Own and lead Tosoh Quartz Inc.’s most critical accounts
Develop long-term account strategies aligned with customer roadmaps and company capabilities
Serve as the executive-level point of contact for key customer stakeholders

Revenue Growth & Account Development

Identify and execute opportunities for revenue expansion within key accounts
Lead commercial negotiations, contract renewals, and strategic positioning
Maintain strong focus on priority accounts while delivering measurable growth

Cross-Account Support & Influence

Provide hands-on support and guidance to other Account Managers across key accounts
Leverage industry relationships to strengthen broader account performance
Contribute to complex or high-value customer engagements beyond primary account responsibility





Team Leadership & Mentorship

Mentor and develop junior and mid-level account managers
Support development of internal sales capabilities, including communication and strategic account planning
Provide consistent domestic leadership to complement global sales activities

Executive Support & Business Leadership

Develop high-quality customer presentations, reports, and strategic materials
Translate account insights into executive-level summaries and recommendations
Reduce administrative and reporting burden at the VP level by owning mid-tier strategic work

Organizational Impact & Scaling

Support the evolution of the sales organization structure over time
Potentially assume leadership of additional Key Account Managers as the role expands
Establish best practices in account management and customer engagement

Reporting Structure

Reports to: Vice President of Sales
Potential future direct reports: Key Account Managers and Account Representatives
Works cross-functionally with global sales leadership and internal stakeholders

Qualifications

Required

10+ years of semiconductor industry experience in key account management, strategic sales, or related roles
Proven success managing complex, high-value customer relationships
Strong executive presence and communication skills
Ability to operate both strategically and tactically

Preferred

Experience in semiconductor, advanced materials, or technical manufacturing environments
Background combining commercial and operational experience
Experience mentoring or leading account managers
