Director of Engineering
Director of Engineering Valcre is on a mission to streamline the CRE appraisal workflow process across the globe with our innovative SaaS platform. We are looking for an Engineering Director to lead our engineering teams in delivering our established enterprise-ready platform with SaaS, mobile, and desktop components. The ideal candidate has a strong technical background and a track record leading teams to solve complex engineering challenges. We are looking for execution-focused candidates that are excited about working closely with our Product team to build the next generation of our platform. Our platform is primarily built using the latest Azure, ASP.NET, Angular, and React Native technologies. We are primarily a remote company with geographically distributed teams in the United States, Europe, and Latin America. About the Position Our Director of Engineering is an execution-focused leader focused on delivering premium products. You will report directly to the CTO and partner closely with the Product and other internal teams. Responsibilities Lead and mentor geographically distributed teams in the United States, Europe, and Latin America responsible for designing, building, and operating Valcre’s platform Drive the effective adoption of an AI-first strategy throughout the platform and engineering processes Collaborate with product owners and stakeholders to drive innovation and solve complex client challenges across our platform Direct best practices for designing and architecting scalable solutions, including leading design reviews, code reviews, and onboarding new technologies Manage platform strategy and vision for a highly-reliable and scalable premium platform Foster collaboration among individual teams and across the organization, identifying efficiency opportunities with AI and workflow tooling Requirements 7+ years of software engineering experience and 3+ years of management experience Experience in designing, developing, and maintaining modern applications and data pipelines on Azure or AWS Demonstrated experience integrating AI capabilities into SaaS products, including leveraging AI to improve workflow efficiency, user experience, or decision-making Strong understanding of emerging AI technologies and their practical application in enterprise-grade software systems Highly technical and effective people manager with experience directly leading distributed teams Excellent communication and collaboration skills working across multiple teams in the company Track record of delivering high-quality products with an emphasis on reliability, scalability, and user experience Experience delivering similar industry solutions preferred, especially enterprise-grade SaaS products within the proptech/CRE industries Total Compensation, Benefits Package & Perks Competitive Salary and rich compensation plan with accelerators for quota attainment and achievement 401k + Opportunity to participate in employee stock option program Health Insurance 100% WFH Generous PTO Opportunity to work with talented, diverse, passionate and driven individuals who want to solve big problems and transform the Commercial Real Estate industry
