Florida Peninsula Managers, LLC dba Windward Risk Managers is an innovative technology and data driven MGA representing $1.2 billion in Florida homeowners premium across mulitple insurance carriers. We are a growing company that has an appetite to expand into diverse segments of the Florida property insurance market. We are currently looking to expand into the commercial residential property market.
We are looking for a creative senior level manager who is excited about joining an entrepreneurial team to help develop an innovative and profitable commercial residential property program for Florida. Candidates must have experience in both product development and underwriting as well as being able to model and analyze risks in the market.

This position is a director level reporting to a member of the Executive Committee and is part of the corporate leadership team.
The position is located at the Corporate Headquarters in Boca Raton, Florida. Relocation assistance will be offered to a candidate from out of the area.
About the job
This position will develop and implement a commercial residential program aligned with the organizations risk appetite, goals, and objectives to accelerate business growth.
Create a detailed business plan that aligns to the commercial residential opportunities in the Florida market including opportunities, risk parameters, underwriting requirements, and
Use your expertise to develop commercial residential underwriting activities and processes to address all aspects of potential risk.
Partner with the risk management team to develop guidelines, forms, and procedures regarding risk exposure, application requirements, and other related activities.
Collaborate and coordinate with leaders across the organization to meet the goals and objectives of the program.
Monitor performance, analyze data, and identify trends and opportunities for improvement of the program.
Assist in setting financial targets, budget development and monitoring.
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in business administration, insurance, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Minimum 15 years' underwriting, product development or related experience in the property insurance industry, with at least 10 years focused on Florida Commercial Residential policies.
5+ years' proven leadership/management experience required.
CPCU certification preferred.
Qualifications/Skills and Competencies
Proven experience as a leader in Commercial Residential Insurance.
Deep understanding of commercial residential policies, underwriting, and procedures required.
In-depth knowledge of market research methods and analysis.
Solid knowledge of performance reporting and financial/budgeting processes.
Commercial residential market knowledge partnered with a strategic mindset.
Solid knowledge of insurance software programs.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Exceptional organizational and time management skills with the ability to plan and prioritize effectively.
Solid working understanding of business operations, procedures, and priorities with a strong ability to support change and impart value within an organization.
Proficient in MSO/365 applications including Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
