Location: Atlanta, GA 30303 (Hybrid - primarily in-office with occasional remote work)
Position: Director/VP of Architecture
Salary: ~ +/- $100K–$120K [Negotiable, DOE]
About the Opportunity:
We are partnering with a growing architectural firm specializing in high-end residential design to find an experienced Director/VP of Architecture. This individual will lead the architectural division, providing strategic direction, team leadership, and operational oversight while ensuring the delivery of exceptional designs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and mentor Studio Leads and team members, including recruiting, training, and performance management
• Oversee production processes to maximize efficiency and ensure top-quality deliverables
• Establish and maintain design and drafting quality standards
• Manage business operations, including budgets, receivables, and financial metrics
• Cultivate new business opportunities and develop client proposals
• Collaborate with the sales team and assist with client interactions as needed
• Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, consultants, and clients
• Participate in company leadership training and initiatives
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture (preferred) or equivalent experience (10+ years in architectural leadership)
• Licensed Architect with NCARB certification in Georgia (or eligibility for reciprocal licensure in other states like AL, NC, SC, TN)
• Expertise in high-end residential design and knowledge of the building and construction industry
• Proficiency in Revit; experience with SketchUp, AutoCAD, AutoCAD Architecture, and Vectorworks is a plus
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to negotiate and close contracts effectively
