Director Application Development

Summary:
• The Director, Application Development, will lead a global team of software developers responsible for maintaining and enhancing our Anesthesia billing platform. This is a high-impact leadership role requiring a balance of technical expertise, strategic thinking, and team management skills to ensure the platform aligns with evolving business needs, industry standards, and operational goals.

Essential Functions and Tasks:
• Lead a team of software developers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.
• Own the strategic vision and roadmap for the Anesthesia billing platform, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to gather, document, and prioritize requirements.
• Oversee all aspects of the software development lifecycle (SDLC), including planning, design, development, testing, and deployment.
• Effectively communicate updates, project progress, and challenges to non-technical stakeholders.
• Provide mentorship and professional development opportunities to team members.

Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and/or equivalent experience in related field preferred.
• At least ten (10) years of experience in software development, with at least five (5) years in leadership.
• Experience in financial, billing, or healthcare application development is highly preferred.
• At least ten (10) years of database experience, specifically on Microsoft SQL Server.
• Demonstrated ability to balance technical and business priorities to deliver value-driven outcomes.
• Direct experience working in a Scrum Agile based SDLC.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

KSA:
• Healthcare industry experience with Revenue Cycle knowledge preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server.
• Database modeling and design.
• Experience with Azure Dev Ops.
• Strong supervisory/management skills.
• Advanced word processing, spreadsheet, database, and presentation software skills.
