TITLE: Director and Assistant General Counsel GRADE: Exempt
REPORTS TO: Vice President and Deputy General Counsel
DEPT/DIVISION: Office of the General Counsel
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
⢠Serve as the lead with the Deputy General Counsel on a portfolio of regulatory matters, both domestic and international.
⢠Draft and file public submissions for rulemakings and other regulatory matters, as well as advocacy communications to lawmakers and regulatory officials.
⢠Provide legal support to other A4A teams, especially the International Affairs and Government Affairs teams.
⢠Lead or assist in coordination of A4A councils, committees and workgroups.
⢠Research and develop functional expertise in new and ongoing regulatory topics.
⢠Monitor relevant legislation, regulation and guidance.
⢠Review and conduct legal analysis of federal agency statutory authority and policy.
⢠Maintain and update industry regulatory trackers and the associated reports.
⢠Produce written and oral communications that are well-organized, clear and persuasive.
⢠Review standard commercial agreements and recommend legal modifications and identify business considerations.
⢠Travel, both domestically and internationally, when necessary.
