Digital Summer Intern - MGH Systems Management

About the position Mass General Brigham Digital is seeking applicants for a ten-week internship program that begins on Monday, June 2nd and runs through Friday, August 8th. The Intern will work on the Digital team supporting a portfolio of vendor and in-house developed applications utilized at Massachusetts General Hospital and other Mass General Brigham hospital members. The intern will shadow and work with application analysts and software developers on the Ambulatory Patient Tracking application, an in-house developed application utilized in outpatient physician practices. This will include participation in system design, development and testing. The intern will also assist with projects and support activities for other application areas including the environmental monitoring application, PRISM (PACU), Infotainment/IPTV and mobile applications. The intern will report to the Senior Manager, MGH Digital Solutions Delivery and work closely with project managers and systems analysts. Responsibilities • Software testing, including writing and executing test scripts and tracking software defects • Observing and documenting customer/business workflows as needed • System maintenance activities (e.g. adding/removing user access) • Participation in design and development meetings with software engineers • Assisting with front line support ticket triaging • Assisting with management of mobile devices • The intern may be assigned other duties depending on workload capacity. Requirements • High School Diploma or Equivalent required • Current enrollment in college-level courses required • Excellent communication skills • Strong problem-solving skills • Attention to detail required • Ability to quickly learn new software programs • Able to work independently and as part of a team • Strong organizational and time-management skills • Strong customer service skills • Experience using Microsoft Excel, Word, Powerpoint and Teams preferred • Must be reliable and punctual. • Ability to take and follow direction. • Willingness to learn.Apply Now
