Overview This is an exciting opportunity to shape the future of Waters’ global B2B eCommerce ecosystem as part of a high-impact digital architecture team. You’ll work at the intersection of commerce, integration, and innovation, designing end-to-end solutions that connect customers, data, and enterprise systems through scalable, secure, and modern platforms. The role offers the chance to influence major digital transformation initiatives, collaborate across global teams, and help redefine how Waters engages with customers through seamless, intelligent, and data-driven digital experiences. Responsibilities • Define and lead the global omni-commerce architecture vision for Waters’ digital platforms, integrating Waters.com, SAP Commerce Cloud, AEM, and S/4HANA into a unified ecosystem. • Architect and implement API-first, Cloud-native frameworks connecting ERP, eProcurement (Seeberger, Trade centric etc.), and digital platforms through secure, scalable integration patterns. • Drive front-end modernization through headless commerce, micro frontends, and modern UI frameworks (React, Angular, Next.js) for high-performing, accessible, and responsive experiences. • Design, implement, and optimize Cloud-based architectures using AWS (EC2, Lambda, S3, CloudFront) or Azure (App Services, Functions, Blob Storage) for scalability and cost efficiency. • Lead the buildout of Waters.com, EDI, Mobile, and B2B commerce experiences globally, ensuring alignment with security, data privacy, and compliance standards. • Provide technical leadership and guidance to development, QA, and DevOps teams, promoting reusability, automation, and CI/CD practices. • Conduct detailed solution design reviews and ensure architectural consistency across digital, ERP, and Cloud environments. • Collaborate with Digital, IT, and Marketing leadership to translate business goals into actionable architecture roadmaps. • Coordinate with offshore teams and external partners to deliver high-quality digital solutions on time and within scope. • Champion performance, reliability, and user experience through proactive architectural governance and technical mentorship. Qualifications • Over 10 years of experience designing and leading B2B digital and eCommerce architectures, with deep expertise in SAP Commerce (Hybris), content management systems (AEM and other CMS platforms), modern UI frameworks, and API-first integration across global platforms. • Proven expertise in React, Angular, or Vue.js, along with responsive design, component libraries, and headless CMS integration (AEM, etc.). • Strong experience with Cloud platforms (AWS or Azure), including infrastructure, security, and DevOps toolchains (CI/CD, Terraform, GitHub Actions, Jenkins). • Deep understanding of API design and integration, RESTful standards, GraphQL, and microservices architecture. • Solid background integrating SAP Commerce Cloud with SAP S/4HANA or ERP systems, including data, pricing, and order workflows. • Experience leading global digital initiatives across eCommerce, EDI, and web applications, ensuring architectural scalability and performance. • Familiarity with Agile methodologies, sprint planning, backlog refinement, and cross-functional team leadership. • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to bridge technical and business discussions. • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with a track record of delivering complex digital programs on time.
