Digital PR Specialist – Reporter Outreach
We're a career/professional education company with strong, data-backed media angles around career happiness, career development, and the future of HR. - And we need someone who can get them in front of the right reporters at scale.
We're looking for a freelance digital PR specialist to help orchestrate mass outreach campaigns to journalists, editors, and contributors across HR, careers, workplace culture, and business media. Looking for someone comfortable with building lists and running targeted, high-volume outbound powered by AI and automation tools.
1. Build and manage targeted media lists (HR trade press, careers/workplace beats, business outlets)
2. Craft compelling pitches tailored to our angles around HR professionals' career development and career happiness
3. Execute mass outreach using tools like Prowly, Respona, Postaga, BuzzStream, or similar
4. Track responses, manage follow-ups, and hand off warm conversations
5. Report on outreach volume, response rates, and placement results
What we're looking for:
Proven experience with high-volume journalist outreach (not influencer marketing — actual press)
Comfort with AI-assisted workflows and automated outbound tools for prospecting and personalization
Strong pitch writing — you know how to frame a story angle that gets opened
Hourly availability, responsive communication, and a bias toward moving fast
Bonus if you've worked in HR tech, careers, or workplace/people-focused media angles before.
Share examples of past outreach campaigns, placements you've secured, and the tools you use day-to-day. We're not looking for a big agency, we want one sharp operator who knows how to get coverage. Thanks!
