The United States Golf Association (USGA) is a mission-based golf organization focused on unifying the golf community and promoting the game’s best talent. They are seeking a Digital Designer to create engaging digital content for various channels, collaborate with marketing teams, and support USGA initiatives. Responsibilities Create compelling, entertaining digital organic and paid collateral that are optimized for each audience and channel across USGA digital and social media channels to support USGA pillars, engage our key audiences and optimized for each audience and channel Collaborate with the marketing and content team members to determine the most engaging and best creative content Collaborate and idealize with stakeholders, social media leads and creative team to facilitate the creation of the most appropriate and compelling content to be shared outwardly Creatively pushing the content to be distinct while staying within the brand, messaging and guidelines To include social graphics creation to tell the stories of the live championship coverage, and USGA news Remote work for live coverage of USGA Championships and other USGA events and initiatives Travel to select USGA championships to create timely graphics for social media creative content creation, including collaborating with an expanded on-site team of creatives, hosts, and brand ambassadors to produce content for USGA social team with planning of daily/weekly social content plans and execution of said plans Collaborate with the marketing and communications team to fulfill corporate partner obligations and goals on championship social media channels including paid programs that deliver the desired reach or engagement Work with and assist our video and photo teams on shoots and deliverables Skills Bachelor's degree in graphic design, communications, journalism, marketing, or related field Strong portfolio with a focus on capturing the attention of content consumers and leveraging the most recent trends on social media platforms Strong understanding of, and passion for visual storytelling Self-starter with high standards and accountability Ability to work in fast-paced, high-pressure deadline environment Must be detail-oriented and maintain high levels of quality control of work Demonstrates creative judgment based on current trends, events and platform style Ability to work with a team and take direction and be just as comfortable working independently Embrace new production technologies, demonstrate a desire to learn and implement new techniques Exhibit a 'no task is too small' attitude Must be willing to travel, work onsite or remote, work after hours, weekends and holidays in support of championships, initiatives and breaking news Experienced as graphic designer at professional or college sports A knowledge and passion for golf Benefits Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision benefits, including a zero-contribution medical plan offered for all full-time employees Retirement plans, with a generous annual contribution from the USGA Suite of programs to promote physical, emotional, and financial well-being Generous bank of paid time off, plus the week between Christmas and New Years Day off Off-site team building events On-site gym and golf simulator Professional development opportunities Company Overview The USGA is a mission-based golf organization whose purpose is to unify the golf community through handicapping and grassroots programs; to showcase the game’s best talent through the U.S. It was founded in 1985, and is headquartered in Far Hills, New Jersey, USA, with a workforce of 201-500 employees.
