About the position
The Digital and Social Media Marketing Specialist at Tarrant County Public Health is responsible for managing the department's social media presence. Responsibilities
Ā Generate, edit, publish, and share daily content that builds meaningful connections and encourages community engagement.

Ā Set up and optimize department pages on social media platforms to increase visibility.

Ā Moderate user-generated content according to community guidelines.

Ā Create editorial calendars and syndication schedules for content distribution.

Ā Analyze social media metrics and insights to continuously improve strategies.

Ā Plan and coordinate public information functions to meet project deadlines.

Ā Collaborate with team members to establish workflows for social media and digital campaigns.

Ā Assist with video and image capture and editing to support strategic goals.

Ā Coordinate promotional materials for various media outlets to ensure effective dissemination.

Ā Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Ā Bachelor's degree in journalism, public relations, communications, advertising, creative writing, or a related field.

Ā Two years of professional-level work experience in marketing, communications, or public relations, specifically in social media development.

Ā Current and valid driver license, with a Texas driver license required for the position.

Ā Experience in developing and managing public relations and publicity campaigns.

Ā Excellent consulting, writing, editing, presentation, and communication skills.

Ā Demonstrable experience with social networking and knowledge of social analytics tools.

Ā Adequate knowledge of web design and development.

Ā Understanding of online marketing and major marketing channels.

Ā Positive attitude with strong multi-tasking and organizational skills.

Ā Ability to evaluate public information materials for specific project assignments.
