About the Opportunity

Positive Behavior Supports Corp. (Team PBS) is developing a new Diagnostic Evaluations service line designed to improve access for families to diagnostic assessments seeking developmental and behavioral services. We are in search of experienced, licensed diagnosticians who are interested in serving as both a subject matter expert during program development and an ongoing service provider as the program launches within their licensed states.

This is a unique opportunity to help shape a new diagnostic model from the ground up, influence operational and clinical workflows, and potentially establish a long-term referral relationship with one of the nation's largest providers of behavioral health services.

Program Development & Service Delivery Role Summary

Team PBS is launching a new Diagnostic Evaluations service designed to expand access to high-quality diagnostic assessments for families in need of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services. Team PBS is seeking experienced, licensed diagnosticians who want to play a foundational role in shaping this program and delivering ongoing diagnostic services within their licensed states. This dual‑impact role combines subject matter expertise during program development with direct clinical service delivery once the program launches. It is an opportunity to influence diagnostic workflows, improve access for families nationwide, and establish a long‑term referral relationship with one of the nation’s largest providers of behavioral health services.

Qualified Candidates

We are interested in speaking with professionals such as:
• Licensed Psychologists (PhD or PsyD)
• Developmental Psychologists
• Neuropsychologists
• Neurologist
• Developmental Pediatricians
• Psychiatrists
• Physicians authorized to diagnose developmental disorders
• Other licensed professionals qualified to perform and sign diagnostic evaluations within their state

Key Responsibilities
• Program Development & Clinical Leadership- Serve as a subject matter expert during the design and buildout of PBS Corp.’s diagnostic evaluation model.
• Provide guidance on best practices for assessment protocols, documentation standards, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Advise on operational workflows, scheduling models, and family‑centered evaluation processes. Collaborate with PBS leadership to ensure the diagnostic model aligns with ethical, regulatory, and clinical standards.
• Diagnostic Service Delivery Conduct comprehensive diagnostic evaluations within your licensed state(s), including developmental, behavioral, and autism related assessments. Utilize evidence‑based tools and clinical judgment to determine diagnostic impressions and recommendations.
• Prepare clear, timely, and family friendly evaluation reports.
• Communicate results to families with compassion, clarity, and cultural sensitivity.
• Coordinate with PBS clinical teams to support seamless transitions into ABA or other recommended services.

Collaboration & Quality Assurance
• Participate in ongoing quality improvement initiatives as the diagnostic program grows.
• Provide consultation to PBS clinical teams regarding diagnostic criteria, case conceptualization, and treatment alignment.
• Maintain compliance with state licensure requirements, payer standards, and PBS Corp. policies.

Qualifications:
• Active, unrestricted licensure as a psychologist, neurologist, developmental pediatrician, Developmental Psychologists, physician, other diagnostician authorized to render formal diagnoses within your state.
• Demonstrated experience conducting diagnostic evaluations, preferably including autism and developmental assessments.
• Strong understanding of DSM‑5‑TR criteria and evidence‑based assessment tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate clinical findings into accessible language for families.
• Commitment to ethical practice, cultural responsiveness, and family centered care.
• Interest in program development, workflow design, or clinical systems improvement.

As a consulting diagnostician, you will help PBS understand and navigate the diagnostic landscape within the states where you currently hold licensure.

• Credentialing and payer requirements
• Diagnostic billing codes and reimbursement considerations
• Telehealth allowances and restrictions
• Scope of practice considerations
• Clinical workflow design
• Multi-disciplinary diagnostic models involving physicians, psychologists, and behavior analysts
• Documentation and report requirements
• Quality assurance and clinical best practices

Future Service Delivery Opportunities

Following the consultation phase, selected providers may have the opportunity to:
• Conduct diagnostic evaluations for PBS-referred families
• Participate in telehealth-based diagnostic services
• Collaborate with local BCBAs and clinical teams
• Author and sign diagnostic reports where permitted by law and payer requirements
• Assist with state-specific program expansion efforts

Qualifications
• Active, unrestricted professional license in at least one of the listed states
• Experience conducting diagnostic evaluations for Autism Spectrum Disorder
• Familiarity with insurance authorization and payer requirements
• Knowledge of telehealth regulations and clinical service delivery
• Strong written documentation and report-writing skills
• Interest in helping design scalable clinical programs

Pay: $100.00 - $125.00 per hour
