DevOps Engineer

We are seeking a DevOps Engineer specializing in AWS cloud operations to lead our efforts in automating and optimizing our software delivery pipeline. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing and implementing robust CI/CD pipelines, managing container orchestration, and ensuring the scalability and reliability of our cloud infrastructure.About your role at Ready ⚡️Spearhead the automation of infrastructure provisioning and configuration management on AWS.Lead efforts to optimize networking configurations and enhance system performance.Design and implement container orchestration solutions using ECS.Collaborate closely with development teams to optimize deployment processes and ensure seamless releases.Champion security best practices and implement measures to safeguard our cloud environment.Architect, implement, and maintain advanced CI/CD pipelines tailored to our software development needs.A bit about you Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.3+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps or a similar role, with a strong focus on AWS cloud operations.Expertise in AWS services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, IAM, and CloudFormation.Proficiency in building and managing CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or similar tools.Deep understanding of containerization technologies like Docker and container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes or ECS.Strong scripting skills with proficiency in Bash, Python, or similar languages.Experience with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues in production environments.Effective communication skills and a collaborative mindset.Familiarity with modern front-end development frameworks and architectural principles (e.g., React, Babel, TypeScript).Ability to diagnose and resolve software development-related issues during deployment and migration processes.Experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL) and familiarity with semi-structured data tools like Athena and Redshift.Certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or AWS Certified Solutions Architect are a plus.About Ready Creative problem solvers approaching an antiquated system with a revolutionary viewpoint.Humble but ambitious, knowledgeable but curious, persistent but not obnoxious.Concise and effective in written and spoken communication.Comfortable working remotely.About what you get Competitive salary plus meaningful equity upside; salary range is $135,000 to $140,000Competitive (and ever expanding) benefits for employees and dependentsOpportunities to learn and grow – all things startupsA chance to play a role in defining the roadmap as we pursue a bold vision and and a big goalWork from (almost) anywhere.
